The First Nations University of Canada Department of Indian Education, in co-operation with the University of Regina Faculty of Education, offers a four-year Bachelor of Education, Elementary (B.Ed. - Elem), and the two-year Bachelor of Education After-Degree (BEAD).

Bachelor of Education - Elementary (Indian Education)
The Department of Indian Education offers a four-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree in elementary education with a concentration in Indian Education and an emphasis on language arts. Options for other teacher specialisations include: Indian Languages, Indian Studies, Indian Health Studies, Indian Art, reading, math, science, social studies, and physical education.

Bachelor of Education After-Degree Program (Elementary)
The Indian Education Department also offers a five-semester Bachelor of Education After-Degree (BEAD) program for those students who have an approved first degree. The BEAD program begins in the winter semester (January), and has a concentration in Indian Education. Since the Department seeks to prepare teachers who have a well-rounded generalist orientation to the elementary school curriculum, a background in the liberal arts with some depth in the teaching subjects is expected.
