Gerontological Nursing/LPN is a/an advanced certificate program. To increase your expertise in gerontological nursing, you will expand upon the knowledge you learned as a licensed practical nurse.
You will develop an understanding of the normal aging changes and the unique characteristics of the older adult client. Based on assessment data, you will have an opportunity to plan and implement nursing care.
You may register for the program on a course-by-course basis or as a full-time student. If you register as a full-time student, you must complete the program within one year. If you register on a course-by-course basis, you will have five years to complete the program
